West Bank: Valley of the Kings & Hatshepsut Temple Valley of the Kings: Take a short ride to the Valley of the Kings to explore the famous tombs of Tutankhamun, Ramses II, and others. Your guide will explain the symbolic meaning behind the elaborate paintings and the secrets of Egyptian burial practices. Temple of Hatshepsut: Visit the spectacular Temple of Hatshepsut, carved into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. It’s one of Egypt’s most impressive architectural wonders. Lunch on Board: After a morning of exploration, return to your cruise ship for lunch as you begin your sailing journey southward. Afternoon: Relaxing on the Nile Set Sail to Edfu: After lunch, the boat will start its sail towards Edfu. As you glide down the river, enjoy the scenic views of the Nile banks, lined with palm trees and ancient ruins. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the sun deck, taking in the peaceful atmosphere and perhaps enjoying a swim in the ship’s pool. This trip usually takes several hours, so if you choose to go, you’ll return to the ship in the afternoon. Philae Temple: Visit the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. The temple is located on an island in Lake Nasser, and you can reach it by boat.
